OUR MISSION

Our mission at The Veteran Connection (TVC) is to ensure every Veteran who served our country is provided resources for mental health, PTSD, and suicide prevention. We are a reliable non-profit organization who is focused on serving our Military Veterans suffering from mental health challenges and helping them make a smooth transition back into society.

TVC strives to also provide access to quality recreational activities that help rejuvenate the mind, body, and spirit, and empower those in need to reach their full potential!

Veterans have served us with courage, honor, and sacrifice….. Now it’s our turn to return the favor and help them lead honorable lives.

ABOUT US

There are many fine organizations that assist Veterans in our country today. So what separates us from the other organizations you might ask?

First of all, we operate on a simple strategy. 90% of all donations are invested in programs directly benefitting our Veterans. Our core values include respect for all, restoring the self-respect and dignity of our Veterans, and improving the physical, emotional and spiritual conditions of our Veterans.

Below are some of our attributes that we believe help serve our purpose and stand above the rest:

  • All living U.S. Military Veterans are included. (Except those who have been dishonorably discharged)
  • Provide personal assistance, for those that require help.
  • Educational resources to help Veterans transitioning from military to civilian life.
  • Committed to the 90/10 rule, where 90% of every dollar generated goes toward supporting our Veterans.

THE FOUR PHASES

TVC is actively seeking funding and partnerships that allow us to offer resources and programs within each of the 4 phases. Various initiatives have been identified under each phase already to date.  We currently are able to offer service dogs and grief therapy with more programs coming soon.

As our partnerships continue to expand and funding allows, we plan to launch a certification program utilizing a third-party researcher to validate the effectiveness of each resource we make available through TVC.

We then will provide an online directory of these vetted resources and make them available to our Veteran community. This allows Veterans to have one place to go to find resources within the four pillars that they can count on being fully vetted for their effectiveness and dependability.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Eric Ranks is President and Executive Director of The Veterans Connection, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. He’s an author, self-made entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and corporate executive with over 24 years in sales training and leadership, and seven years in digital marketing working with some of the world’s largest digital marketing companies. Eric is also a Certified Health and Keto Coach, and CEO of GATA Travel.

Eric was raised in a military family. His father began his military career in the United States Army and later transferred to the United States Air Force where he retired as a Captain.  Eric’s Grandfather served in the United States Navy. In 2011, Eric took a board position with a Florida based veteran organization who was trying to get their Non Profit started. During this time, he spoke with many military veterans about the struggles they were dealing with ranging from severe health issues around Agent Orange to mental health issues like PTSD and suicide.

Eric has a passion for helping others. In 2012 he co-founded The Veterans Connection to help with several issues military veterans face. The Veterans Connection programs focus on mental health issues via the Veteran Reflection channel,  provides education for veterans transitioning to civilian life, and has a long-term goal of hiring VA certified representatives that can assist veterans with their benefit claims.

In August 2019 Eric’s father passed away. The flag given to his family sits in his office and is a reminder of the sacrifices of our great men and women who serve our country and protect our freedoms.  This daily reminder continues to fuel Eric’s desire to give back to the veteran community each and every day.
